The World

The Homelands, two perfect circles of 320 kilometers squished together. There were only 8 cities for hundreds of years until The New Dawn. With more space and less danger more cities have come to exist in the world. After The New Dawn everything changed. Every bodies daily lives are no longer dedicated to making sure the community is cared for. Previously any job that is not directly helping with food, defense of the cities, building shelter or other such works with clear, material, benefit to the community was secondary volunteer work. Now there is more freedom to pursue other employment. This means that there is more diversity and cultural influence now, but also has the issue of meaning there is more crime in the world.

Almost all the land around the cities is still used as farmland, and the coastal towns fish for their food. A deposit of iron was found within Homelands and provides all the metal for each city. The most limited resource it lumber, with only a small amount of trees available lumberjacks get closer and closer to The Fog with each passing year. A Castle resides at the lower edge of the Fog half standing in the world of men, the other half covered by the fog. During times when the fog has rolled back adventerous folk, like The Mistchasers have attempted to explore the ruins but most that return say that there is an infestation of mistborn creatures that reside in the ruins.

There are some weapons that are relics from the world before the Reversal, black powder weapons and some finely crafted blades that blacksmiths cannot seem to reproduce with any quality, because of this they’re very rare and their value is extremely high. Other gear such as full platemail is both difficult and time consuming to make and thus is usually not available, commisioning something of that size costs extra as it will take the blacksmith away from his other more important duties.
